Jacht is a student-run advertising agency at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Students are chosen on a semester-by-semester basis through a selective application process. Jacht isn’t your typical class; it’s a hands-on experience with real work and real clients.
I created a research-based social media strategy and plan for Jacht to reach their target audiences and increase awareness of the services and brand.
I worked with the team to write blog posts and create social media content. As the social media specialist, I introduced recurring series, managed our blog, created a campaign to recruit the next semester of students, helped with the rebrand including a new logo, and templatized our analytics to examine results and make improvements. During my time at Jacht, there were 1,237% more Twitter engagements compared to the previous year.
Emma took our agency social media to the next level, through careful attention to analytics combined with her knowledge of trends among the various platforms. She understood how to help us achieve our objectives with a variety of audiences using appropriate content, smart timing, and superb organization. Emma was amazing to work with!
